Jon’s Ridgeline

Posted by Dave on May 20th, 2006

ridgeline.jpgI gave my friend Jon a ride to Landmark Honda last night. He had gotten a good price for a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Its a pretty cool pickup/SUV vehicle. The bed is about 6 feet long and the double cab has plenty of room in the back. He got it for his wife as a graduation gift. She just graduates from Georgetown tomorrow, I want to say she finished her masters in international relations, but I’ll probably end up correcting that. Jon Greg and I plan on borrowing it for the WV trip next weekend. It will be loaded up with a keg of Old Dominion Brewers Art, a charcoal grill, and firewood if we can find some free around here. Otherwise we’ll bring a saw and cut up some dead wood near the site.

WVA map - SmallIts almost time for my 3rd annual Memorial Day weekend West Virginia Camping trip. This year I’m planning to bring Tucson along so he can play in the stream and run around with the other dogs that will be there. I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures. Missing Posts

Posted by admin on May 10th, 2006

I accidently dumped my database today, losing all my posts. Fortunately I have been doing monthly backups and the site was easily restored. The missing posts were about my trip to Dallas and my new Chevy Malibu, which I will add back in manually. Also I have changed the layout of the site. Let me know what you think.

Dave’s New Car

Posted by Dave on May 1st, 2006

Dave's MalibuI traded in the old Talon for a new Chevy Malibu today. See pictures here.

in addition to the Malibu, I test drove the Honda Accord, Mazda 6 and the Toyota Camry. All 4 cars drove nice, The mazda had the most power and the camry had the nicest ride. But the Malibu was close to the other 3 and much cheaper. The above prices are just the MSRPs and this time of year are all reduced. So I fell like I did well for myself.

You have a dog on your roof!

Posted by Dave on May 1st, 2006

Tucson stayed with my friend Greg while I was down in Texas last week.  Early in the week he had a neighbor ring his doorbell and tell him he had a dog on his roof.  After Greg made him repeat this 4 or 5 times he went out and had a look, and sure enough, Tucson had jumped out of a second story window and was one the roof just above their front porch.  Tucson was scared, but Greg was able to coax him back to the window and grab him.  My guess is he saw a squirrel or something in one of the trees out front, but who knows what Tucson was thinking.  Unfortunately Greg didn’t get a picture, I was tempted to grab my camera stick him back up there just to have one.
