Happy Thanksgiving!
The Vikings won in a thriller against the Pack last night improving their record 5 wins and 5 losses. I still don’t think the Vikings are very good. But with 2 wins against the Packers one thing is for sure, they don’t suck as much as Green Bay. Packer DE Aaron Kampman summed it up “This one may be the worst because No. 1, it was Minnesota; No. 2, it was at home; and No. 3, it was Minnesota again.” It was nice to see Minnesota finally able to run the ball in the second half, but Johnson was sacked 5 times. The Defensive line still needs to improve.
In fantasy football, I fell to 7-4 in the league with old Winstar coworkers, but I’m still in 2nd place. In the other league I improved to 6-5, 4th place.
Tucson killed my laptop last night, but not way you probably think. My laptop has always generated a lot of heat, more then what I think I laptop should generate. If you were to actually have it on your lap, you would end up with burns. If it is set on surface with some give to it, like a bed, It wont be able to suck up enough air through the bottom and blow it out through the side to keep it cool enough to run, causing it to crash. Add the problems of dog hair getting in there and constricting air flow, even with regular cleanings my laptop would overheat and crash at least once a week. Last night it crashed for the last time, it wouldn’t power back on. Fortunately everything I had of value on it is backed up. I only used it for email, web, and playing empire deluxe. It should be noted that this website was written using that laptop. I don’t think I will buy a new laptop, at least not anytime soon. I have a good desktop PC that runs great and I very rarely have need for a computer outside of my home.
Congrats to my youngest brother Rob for completing his Masters in Biochemestry at Iowa State, home of the ‘Cyclones’. His thesis had something to do with proteins, the rest of what he said was over my head. He now has the daunting job of finding real work. Good luck Rob!
