Website Update

Posted by Dave on October 17th, 2007

In preparation of posting pictures from Tony and Lynn’s wedding I finally got around to fixing some issues with my photo album yesterday. It turns out the problem was that I had updated Gallery 2 to a version that was not compatible with the theme I was using. I attempted to bypass some code and somewhere really messed things up. Ultimately I had to reinstall and lost of my photo descriptions, but I was smart enough to back up all my pictures. There a couple of little things that are left to do, but for the most part its finished.

Flash

Bob asked me yesterday if flash would work in WordPress. I used Kimili flash embed for WordPress. Also, I saw they have a version for TextPattern at the same site.

Site changes

Posted by Dave on April 24th, 2007

I am currently making some changes to the site. Mostly trimming out all of the old stuff and making a few improvements.

The photo album might be acting a little funny. I just completed an upgrade and some of the features appear to be broken.

4/25 I have fixed the problems. Unfortunately I had to reinstall and lost all my photo descriptions. I will try to rewrite them at some point.

Video Tab fixed (no really)

Ok, it seems when I thought I fixed the Video tab the other day, I just made it so I could see the files and no one else.  Thanks Bob for pointing out that it wasn’t working right.  Anyways, now its really fixed,

RSS feeds

I’ve been playing around with sports news feeds from sites like startribune.com and espn.go.com.  You can see the Star tribune RSS feed in the sidebar where it says ‘Sports News’.  Here is the raw RSS feed for the Twins and Vikings if you care to see how it works.
